Cookie policy
Last updated: 2026-10-09 · Version: 2026-10-09.1
This page explains what shlurp.men stores on your device, what it asks your browser to load from other companies, and how to change your choices. The short version: we set a few cookies that the site needs, we ask before loading anything that comes from another company, and we ask before using any analytics that remember you between visits.
Your choices
You can change your choices at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page, or the button above. Turning something off takes effect immediately. Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is treated as "reject non-essential" (see below).
If you prefer not to be counted in our basic visit statistics, use this button. It sets a small cookie that remembers your objection.
What we use
1. Strictly necessary (always on, no consent needed)
These are required to deliver the site you asked for or to meet a legal duty. We do not use them for tracking.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
shlurp_18 (cookie) | shlurp.men | Remembers that you confirmed you are 18 or older, so the age check does not appear on every page. It contains no personal information. This site contains gambling-related content that is for adults only, which is why the check exists. Our server sets it, so browsers such as Safari keep it for the full period. | 1 year |
shlurp_consent (cookie) | shlurp.men | Remembers your cookie choices, the date, and the policy version, so we do not ask again each visit. | 6 months |
shlurp_noanalytics (cookie, only if you use "Don't count my visits") | shlurp.men | Remembers that you objected to visit statistics. | 13 months |
shlurp_admin (cookie) | shlurp.men | Keeps the site owner signed in to the admin area. Visitors never receive this cookie. It is signed and cannot be read by scripts. | 7 days |
flash (session storage, admin area only) | shlurp.men | Shows a one-time "saved" message in the admin area. | Until you close the tab |
Earlier versions of this site also saved the age confirmation in browser storage under the name shlurp-18. The site now removes that entry automatically and only uses the cookie above.
If we turn on Cloudflare bot protection in the future, Cloudflare may set __cf_bm or cf_clearance on shlurp.men to keep out automated traffic. These would be strictly necessary security cookies and would be added to this table.
2. Embedded content from Kick (only if you allow it)
The live stream on our home page is a player provided by Kick (kick.com). We do not load it until you choose to ("Load Kick player" on the page, or by allowing embedded content in Cookie settings). Once it loads, Kick, and the companies that provide services to Kick, can see your IP address and device details, and can set their own cookies and storage in your browser. We do not control these and cannot remove them for you.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare, on behalf of Kick (kick.com) | Helps detect automated traffic on Kick's player. | 30 minutes |
_cfuvid | Cloudflare, on behalf of Kick (kick.com) | Helps Cloudflare apply rate limits for Kick's player. | Session |
| Other cookies and storage set by the Kick player (including statistics services Kick uses, such as Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics) | Kick and its providers | Playback settings and Kick's own statistics. We have not been given a complete list and it can change. | Set by Kick |
The "Open chat" button on our home page is a normal link that opens Kick's chat in a new tab. Nothing is loaded from Kick until you click it, and then you are on Kick's site under Kick's policy.
Kick's privacy policy: kick.com/privacy-policy. Cloudflare's: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Google's: policies.google.com/privacy.
To remove cookies Kick has already set, clear your browser's cookies and site data for kick.com. Turning embedded content off in our settings stops the player loading but cannot delete what Kick already stored.
Clip and past-stream thumbnails come from Kick, but we fetch them ourselves and serve them from shlurp.men, so your browser does not contact Kick to show them. Links to clips and streams go to Kick when you click them.
3. Visit statistics (basic, no cookies)
We count visits to understand which pages and links are used and to fix problems. This is done on our server when a page is requested. It does not use cookies or any storage on your device.
For each page view we keep:
- the page address (without the query string, other than the campaign tags noted below), and the time;
- the website you came from (only the site name, not the full address), and campaign tags in the link if present (
utm_*values and our ownsrctag); - your country, and, where our provider supplies it, your region and city, derived from your IP address by Cloudflare;
- your device type, operating system and browser (name and major version), and your preferred language;
- a visitor code made by scrambling your IP address and browser details together with a secret that is replaced every day and then deleted. This lets us count how many different visitors there were on one day. After the secret is deleted nobody, including us, can turn the code back into your IP address or link it to a visit on another day.
We never store your IP address or your full browser identification string for statistics. We do not use fingerprinting. The statistics are used only by us, only to produce counts and charts, and are not sold, shared, or combined with other data.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the site (UK/EU GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); this kind of audience measurement is allowed without consent when used only for statistics, and you can object at any time. Not counted: visitors using Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track", visitors who used "Don't count my visits", automated bots, and the site owner's admin visits.
How long: individual page-view records are deleted after 60 days. Daily totals (counts only, no visitor codes) are kept for 13 months.
4. Detailed analytics (only if you allow it)
If you turn on "Analytics" in Cookie settings, we collect more detail about how you use the site so we can improve it. This is off until you switch it on, and stays off if your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
shlurp_vid (cookie) | shlurp.men | A random code that lets us recognise a returning visit and group your page views into visits. It is not linked to your name or account. Scripts on the page cannot read it. | 13 months |
With this switched on, we also collect:
- which pages you view in a visit, which page you entered and left on, and how long each page was visible on your screen;
- how far down the page you scrolled;
- which buttons and links you select (navigation, calls to action, partner cards, "copy code" buttons, links that go to Kick, Discord, social accounts and partners) and when the Kick player is loaded or the video is played;
- your screen and window size, your time zone, your language setting and (where your browser reports it) your connection type;
- page speed measurements (Core Web Vitals) and JavaScript errors, with file names and line numbers but not your input;
- where on the page you click, as a percentage position, to build a click map. We record the position and the type of element only, never what is in it.
We do not record what you type, record your screen, or follow your mouse. Your IP address is still not stored. The data stays on our own server, is used only by us, and is not sold or shared. We delete detailed analytics records after 90 days and keep only anonymous daily totals for 13 months. Turning Analytics off deletes the cookie straight away, deletes the detailed records tied to it, and we stop collecting. You can also ask us to delete records tied to your shlurp_vid (see Contact).
Legal basis: your consent (UK/EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.
5. Other things we store about you without using your device
- Outbound link clicks. Links to Kick, Discord, social accounts and partner offers go through shlurp.men first so we can count them. We store which link, which page it was on, the time, a scrambled code of your IP address that changes every day (so it cannot be followed from one day to the next), and the first 60 characters of your browser identification. We keep this for 13 months. This does not use cookies. Legal basis: legitimate interest. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track", or you used "Don't count my visits", we keep only which link and when.
- Your cookie choices. When you save a choice we store the date, the policy version, your choices, a random reference number (the one in
shlurp_consent) and the first 60 characters of your browser identification, as proof of consent. We keep this for 3 years. No IP address is stored with it.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as "reject non-essential": the Kick player does not load without a click, detailed analytics stay off, and basic visit statistics skip your visits. You can still allow the Kick player in Cookie settings, but we will not turn anything on for you.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How consent works
- You can accept all, reject all non-essential, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Nothing optional is loaded or stored before you choose.
- Your choice is saved for up to 6 months, or until this policy changes in a way that needs a new choice. Then we ask again.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer.
- Rejecting does not stop you using the site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example UK/EU GDPR, or California law), you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of data we hold about you, object to our use of it, and withdraw consent. Because we cannot identify you from a visitor code, we may need you to give us your shlurp_vid or consent reference (visible in your browser's cookie settings) to find your records. You can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).

Changes
When we change what we store or who it comes from, we update this page, change the version above and the date, and ask for your choices again.
